To obtain a very constant quality with a very accessible price, Edgar decided over 20 years ago to collaborate with several carefully selected manufacturing workshops in Europe, mainly in Germany. Under the Master Russ’ direction, these instruments are inspected, refinished, varnished, and set up in his workshop in Cremona. All Scala Perfetta instruments are carefully checked and sound adjusted to guarantee an easy to play, balanced across the four strings, and a powerful sounding instrument for advanced beginners.

SCALA PERFETTA
Master Edgar Russ partners with European workshops to create affordable and high-quality string instruments. Each violin, viola, cello, or double bass undergoes detailed inspections, refinements, varnishing, and precise setup.
The finishing process remains similar to the one used for Master Instruments, despite the difference in materials. Our workshop team devotes meticulous attention in order to deliver an instrument that is beginner-friendly and also suitable as a second/travel option.
