The Journey of a Rising Luthier
Born in Fiorenzuola d'Arda on November 15, 1998, his passion for wood carving emerged shortly after completing secondary school. A few visits to the workshop of the renowned luthier Giorgio Giliotti in Borgotaro (Parma), known as the "Luthier with the Mustache," ignited a deep fascination with the world of stringed instruments, seasoned woods, natural varnishes, and the secrets of fine craftsmanship.
Mastering the Craft
In 2017, he graduated from the prestigious Antonio Stradivari International School of Violinmaking, where he studied under the guidance of masters Wanna Zambelli, Angelo Sperzaga, and Daniele Scolari. This formative experience provided him with a solid foundation in the art of violin making. In 2018, he further refined his craft by joining the workshop of Edgar Russ and Minjeong Kang, two of the most respected names in Cremona’s violinmaking community. Their mentorship and hands-on approach were instrumental in perfecting his technique in both building and repairing classical string instruments.
Blending Tradition with Innovation
Driven by discipline and passion, he developed his own distinctive artistic style, blending tradition with a personal touch. In 2022, he joined Sound of Cremona s.r.l., co-founded by Edgar Russ and Minjeong Kang, further solidifying his place in the world of high quality violin making. His work is characterized by a careful selection of premium materials and well seasoned wood, ensuring the creation of instruments that cater to a broad range of musicians, from accomplished professionals to students and beginners.
In 2018, he participated in the XV Triennial International Violinmaking Competition Antonio Stradivari, showcasing his talent and further establishing his presence in the competitive world of luthiery.
A proud member of the Consorzio Liutai A. Stradivari, he continues to participate in international exhibitions, where his instruments are celebrated for their craftsmanship, tonal quality, and aesthetic beauty.
